How Does the Veterans Benefits Administration Determine If You Are A Combat Veteran?
Im talking about the business of being a combat veteran for VA rating purposes. The Veterans Benefits Administration will make the determination if you are a combat veteran or not.
First they look at your DD-214 to see if your branch of service acknowledged that you were in an active duty war zone. If the war zone you were in is plastered all over the comments section of your DD-214 you have got the presumption of being a combat veteran.
