High heel’s been replaced by wooly socks. And this girl’s been around so many blocks

Time just seems to travel at great speed. And I found out there’s so much less I need.


Went to the stylist the other day. Said please don’t cut my hair that same old way

It looked like she thought I was deranged. Honey I told her my thinking has changed.


Best for me to keep things short and sweet. Want my life and hair tidy and neat

Funny how it’s all become so clear. Now I think I’ve outgrown my outgrown hair.


Not much in’trested in fancy clothes. Would rather watch my garden flowers grow

I no longer wish to chase that dream. Money and power sure ain't what it seems.


This girl’s been around so many blocks. Have seen it all that nothing ever shocks

Now it’s time to think outside that box. Enjoy what’s left and go on lots of walks.


Savor life. Won’t dwell on what’s not fair. Can’t worry ‘bout others and compare
